This doesn't fit the category but doesn't fit cleanly else where either. I'm looking for some good instrumental Spanish Guitar music along the lines of that played in Al Stewart's "On the Border" song. This is pretty much out of my musical norm so looking for your opinion on what I should try. Big Grin

I just went to a concert a few weeks ago and heard the very best Spanish guitarist IMO ever was. His name is David Broza; he is Jewish but lived in Spain for years and the combination is really exciting. He has many albums--never saw or heard such talent. Wow--I think you'll enjoy!

I recommend Al DiMeola and Paco de Lucia. DiMeola crosses musical lines, so you may want to "preview" what you're getting, but few guitarists today can touch him.

You might give a listen to the
music of Toni Xuclà.

Also there are a lot of Flamenco
style compilations available online.
Perhaps get a couple compilations and
see if anything on them "grabs" you.
