In the song Bonnie Moronie
Whats a Moronie? in some lyrics its "She's "called" Bonnie Moronie" therefore could be a surname? in others it's "Shes A Bonnie Moronie" so it refers to something (endearment?)
And to add fuel to this in a film(1940s)An actor said something was a Moronie
Confused
So gang... what is it?

I believe the lyric says "I've got a girl named "Bony Moronie", referring to the fact that she is very thin. I have no idea if there is such a thing as a "moronie" or what it refers to, unless its an offensive play on the word "moron"

In the Larry Williams song, the lyrics are:

"I got a girl named Bonie Moronie
She's as skinny as a stick of macaroni"

Moronie in this case appears as a surname.
