Do you mean reckless or wreckless ? ( Never encountered the second but the first sounds the same ). Reckless is 'without reck' . Reck is an archaic word meaning 'to mind or care about (something)'. So reckless is having or showing no regard for danger or consequences; heedless;rash. In other words it is to be acting without minding or caring what happens, or what may happen.

Haha, wow that's so simple. It does seem strangly like a real word though. But then the more I look at it, the more wrong it looks.

I agree with FP that wreckless is not a word, but maybe it should be. For instance: "Ever since her auto collision 12 years ago, she pays more attention to the road; today she's proud to be a wreckless driver." Big Grin

I found the word "wreckless" on a driving violation site....here is the paragraph it is in:

The Public Eye website was launched in February 2005 as a place where people can report traffic violations. There are no costs involved in registering or posting on the site. We merely wish to increase awareness of road safety and the effects of WRECKLESS driving.

So if I am a wreckless driver...it means I am careless....a wreck waiting to happen.

LOL...I found it on several web-sites, even the U.S Government's site on moving violations, on the M.A.D.D site, etc... Smile
