Hmm, perhaps I didn't really want to know, but thank you nonetheless.

Strictly it is 'ad nauseam' (with a second A not a U ). The Latin word is nausea : sea-sickness; vomiting. The link spells it, incorrectly , with a U. [It's nauseaM because Latin nouns have different endings according to case ; ad, 'to,towards' makes it nauseam ]

I guess it being spelled wrong would be one of the reasons I couldn't find it in my previous attempts to discover the meaning.
