I saw a bumper sticker yesterday for the first time that I thought was worth repeating:

May the Embryo you Save -- Be Gay and Proud

Another I think is worth mention:

Frat Boy Drives Country into Ditch.

Any additions worth mention???

Our family has 3 on their cars.

1. Oh well, I wasn't using my civil liberties anyway.

2. It's not that I'm old, your music really does suck!

3. I have nothing against God, it's his fan club I can't stand.

And if you have a Schwinn...A friend had a Ferrari with a sticker reading 'My other car is a Skoda' ! Big Grin (It was true, too ) Inverted snobbery , or what? [Skoda, a Czech make, was a much mocked brand a decade or more ago . Now it is owned by VW and the cars constantly win top marks in Europe]

The Liverpool version used to be 'JESUS SAVES but St John nets the rebound' Smile . Ian St John was a star of their soccer team.

The best one I saw was "Governments are like nappies (diapers)- they need changing frequently and usually for the same reason!"

DG says: "I want to find one for my bike that says 'My Other Bike is a Schwinn '"

I made one of Letraset on a strip of Bristolboard and ran it along the inside bottom of my rear window:

"I brake for hallucinations".

Some time later I saw a car with exactly the same message -- on pasteboard and at the bottom of the rear window and in printing that looked like it was done with Letraset!

So, DG...

It is a bumper sticker as well as a car plaque, Kendor. Several spoofs of the Christian fish and the Darwin fish are out there. One has a small Jesus fish about to be eaten by a larger Darwin fish. Another is the reverse. Yet another has the larger fish named "Science" about to eat the smaller fish, named "Myth." Possibly the one I like best is the fish with somewhat vaguely-Hebraic writing inside. A closer look at the writing shows it to read "Gefilte".

Sadly, I’m not “allowed” to put bumper stickers on my new car, but when I had my Jeep I plastered the back of that thing with my opinions. Some of my favorites were:
“Change how you see, not how you look.”
“You’ll find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view. -Obi Wan Kenobi”
“I give evolution two opposable thumbs up!”
“Buckle up! It makes it harder for the aliens to suck you out of your car.”
“Don’t hold strong opinions about things you don’t understand.”

And, of course: “Just a pirate chasing booty.”

Big Grin

For my current car, my husband has agreed to (but I have not followed through with) the putting of three simple plaques:
  • the Darwin fish show above
  • a pentacle
  • and one that says "CHOICE."
