Hello, I was so excited to finally be delivered my new HD graphics card. It has HDMI and DVI which I thought would give me a great picture from my computer (a slimeline HP pavillion s3100n by the way) to my High Def LCD t.v. So I plugged it in and installed the drivers. However to my suprise the picture was almost too bright and I couldn't seem to find the proper display setting so half the desktop wasn't showing up on my t.v.
Needless to say I unplugged the graphics card and went back to the VGA setting and it looks better. If anyone has any thought on something i have done wrong I would really like to use my new graphics card. It is a Plait Radeon HD Pro Sonic 256MB PCIe card and my computer is like I said HP pavillion Slimeline s3100n. I would like to use HD for video only if thats possible.
Thanks

You should find settings for brightness/gamma/etc within the ATi Catalyst Tool which was installed along with your drivers. (Should be found in the Start Menu) Most monitors and TVs also include built-in brightness control. Consult your manual.

Within the Display control panel (in the Control Panel), you can select how you want your two video cards (original and new) used. You can either use them as one combined screen (default, probably your case) where you can drag windows between the two. Or, you can disable the original graphics card and use the ATi HD2400 only.

Please note, that while the HD2400 is a nice video card, it doesn't immediately give your PC the ability to play Blu-Ray discs. You will need a Blu-Ray drive to do that.
