How do I get graphics from downloading into my computer.

I have about 600 graphic pictures that have been saved in my Internet temporary folders with no help from me.

They are downloading automatically. This is annoying because it flashes a screen telling me it is happening about every 20-seconds.

This just started happening yesterday.

Hi Donald
We need to find out what site they are originating from, before deciding how to go about removing the generator from your computer.
So for starters, have any of the images got in the title something like "provided by...."and the name of a company?
Or in the image do they say something similar?
Check also that your Homepage has not been changed to something else.Happens quite often when things like this happen.

If not, I suggest you download and install either the "Pro" or the free version of ZoneAlarm.

Zone Labs

You probably already know this, but for the benefit of others, you can delete "Temporary Internet Files" by:
1. Click Start
2. Click Settings
3. Click Control Panel
4. Click Internet Options
If using Internet Explorer, you can just click the "Tools" menu, then "Internet Options".

5. Click General Tab (if not already open)
7. Click "Delete Files" button under "Temporary Internet Files" heading.
I hope this helps!

You can set your Web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, etc.) to automatically delete your "Temporary Internet Files" when you close your browser.

Go to Internet Options (as described above) and click the "Advanced" tab. Go to the Security heading (near the bottom) and check the option, "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed". Click "OK".

On a dial-up connection, this will slow down your browsing, so this should probably only be a temporary solution. With a broadband (cable or DSL) connection, it wouldn't make much speed difference.

I hope this helps!

To Dwight:

(1). YES, I have the Zone Alarm Firewall.

(2). I have now set my Web Brouser to Empty the Temporary Internet Folder when I close my Brouser.

To Bedstor:

(1). The Graphics that are being saved are every thing that I boot up from the Network, including this Forum question.

To Dwight & Bedstor:

With the Firewall & suggestion by Dwight about the automatic deletion, I am STILL getting the flashing screen telling me that the graphics of all the network programs are being saved.

I suggest you open your Zone Alarm and check what version number you have. The latest version is
3.1.395
Free program version, I don't know what the Pro version number is.
If your version is older, I suggest you go to Zone Labs (link above) and get the newest version.

If you do download a newer version, during the install it will ask you if you want to use your current set-up, or redo it. I suggest you choose to redo the setup. Then, as each "Program Alert" opens take careful note of what the program is. Give permission but don't click the "Remember" choice until you've determined that the program is not the culprit.

I think you'll be able to narrow down the suspects one-by-one until you're left with the guilty party.

If your Zone Alarm is up-to-date, you can redo all your selections and do the same thing. Just open the Zone Alarm program to the "Program Control" page, then left click on program in turn and set the "ASK" option.

I hope this will help!
