Hi Friends:

So what's the difference? Why would a stock photo site accept jpg but not jpeg? Any way to transform it?

Thanks.

Some programs are finicky and only like certain extensions. All you would have to do in the case of .jpeg or .jpg is to just rename the extension by omitting the 'e'.

Is that a fact? Does it change a darn thing? I still don't understand the difference, if there is one.

Thanks.

There is NO difference. Certain older programs are just anal about the extension.
.jpg vs. .jpeg

I do think there is a slight difference, in that older applications only allowed three characters for the extension, thus .doc, .wpd, .gif, etc. That's changed now.

That sound right to you, cswchan?

That sounds about right catty.... look up my last reply to you in this thread.... I use Windows XP Pro & also Adobe Photoshop 7, so, it is not an issue. You could also tell windows to use IE to open the file. In Windows XP, if you "Right Click" the file, choose "Open With" & then choose IE, it should open with IE from hereon in...
Have fun.
