Waaaaay back when - I was told that to have an animated signature - it had to be 'stored' on a web site - and Dwight graciously let me use his site.

Then I was surfing and found this Creating E-Mail Signatures. It had the signature floating across the page.

After reading the instructions - I didn't see any instructions as to 'where, when and how' to up-load it to a web.

I went ahead and bit the bullet and followed the instructions and it worked. -- But Why?

How come this works without being 'stored' on a web site, but my animated signature won't?

Your scrolling text is not an image, it is an HTML command line. It works in Yahoo mail when Rich Text (HTML) is set to "On". It will not work here because the AnswerPool HTML option is not set to "On" in these posts right now.

The photo ad is also scrolling because the HTML command to stop the scroll </marquee> is either:
(1) Not present
(2) Not in the correct location (after "Kleo2X")
or
(3) If there are two scrolling text commands, there would need to be two "stop scrolling" commands
