Got this 'E' and it had an SWF extension.

IrfanView said it couldn't read that file.
[I think someone from this forum told me long ago that Irfan doesn't do videos]

Went to Google to find out about 'SWF'

Downloaded Flashplayer 7

Clicked on the SWF URL and the little video played like a charm.

Came back on-line 4 hrs later / clicked on the same URL and up jumped Irfan telling me it couldn't read this file.

How come when I clicked on this file that flashplayer 7 didn't open the file?

I did 'save' the file in Pictures/my pictures.

Should I move it to 'My Computer'?

I forgot how to get the menu in order to select 'always open this file with.....'

So I guess it's back to Google - unless someone there knows the path by heart and would clue me in - 8^)

Anyway I need help in making these cute little videos open when I sez - open seza me

Thanx from Anderson, Ca.

I believe that you have set the "File Association" for the Flash Player File type (.SWF) to IrfanView, which as you discovered cannot play that particular type.

To remove the association with IrfanView, open the "My Computer" / View / Folder Options

Click on: File Type

Scroll down to "SWF" types

Select it and click "Edit"

If in the Action window, it shows:
C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view32.exe

Select that and click the "Remove" button.

OK your way out of the window and then try opening the URL again. The flash animation should run in Internet Explorer.
