I have Windows XP/default browser Explorer. I switched my default browser to Netscape Nav. That changed all the jpgs and gifs on my hard drive to Netscapte-affiliated Mozilla type jpgs and gifs.

Then I decided I preferred Explorer and switched back. But all my jpgs and gifs--including all new ones--are Mozilla.

1. Is there any way to go back to whatever type of jpgs and gifs MS uses?

2. What's the difference between Mozilla and others?

3. Is the reason my personal web page's scanned images look better on NN than IE because they're all uploaded Mozilla image files?

Thanks.

The actual format of ther images hasn't changed. Only the setting for which program to open them with has changed. GIFs are GIFs and JPEGs are JPEGs.

Double Click on (My Computer)and under the (Tools) menu select (Folder Options). Click on the (File Types) tab and select (GIF)and (JPEG). Say (Change) and selct or (Browse) for what U want to open the file type instead of (Mozilla). Say OK and Close. That's it.
