Rita, if you look at your email which contains your picture.... you can hit forward, and at that mode, you can resize it. All email can be manipulated in the "forward" mode. Just click on the picture and drag the edges to make it smaller. Play with it. You'll get the hang of it. There are tons of programs to help you do this, but this method is pretty easy. Check THIS place out for digital email pic info!

Do you have any image editing programs? I'm going to assume that you have Windows and therefore have paint. I'm also going to assume you don't have a better program.
Open the picture in Paint (it's usually in the accessories part of the start menu in case you've never noticed it).
Click on the 'image' menus, then on 'stretch/skew.'
Fill in the same percent in both the horizontal stretch and vertical stretch boxes. Using 50%, for example, would make the image half the size physically and about half the size in memory.
Save the new, smaller file.
You also may want to save it in a different format. If it is saved as a bitmap (ending in .BMP), it will be much larger than if it is saved as a JPEG (ending in .JPEG). To do this, open the picture in paint, click save as, and select JPEG from the file types options.

My favorite tool for resizing images and converting to JPEG format is Irfan Skiljan's free IrfanView. By the way, JPEG files usually have the extension JPG.
