Hi all, I need to find some type of imaging software that will allow me to enlarge certain sections of a picture, and eliminate the rest, but havent had any luck finding some. I'd like it to be free, or at least a trial program that can accomplish this task. I have tried Irfanview, but it doesnt seem to be set up for this action. Any ideas? Thanks!

Chris, Irfanview has the options you mention. Look in "Edit" for "Create Custom Crop Selection", then you can either leave the area inside the cropped or outside the cropped area, using "Cut - Selection" or "Leave - Selection." To enlarge an image, go to "Image" and then "Resize/Resample." I just did it with Irfanview last week.

You're welcome. I am still somewhat amazed that there was something about computers that I knew that someone else didn't. I always assume everyone knows more about computers than I do, and I have always been right until now.
