In the My Pictures folder of my computer, there were about 20 picture files, not in a folder, saved under the default names that the computer does that has the date, etc. I didn't want these files anymore, so I went to my computer, and entered the My Pictures folder to delete them. Everytime I delete one, it automatically copies it and puts it back in the My Pictures Folder Where I deleted it from. So over the process of trying to delete these 20 pictures, I have accumulated over 100 copies of them somehow. Why is it copying them right back and not letting me delete them??? It is driving me CRAZY!!! I really need to delete all these things so they don't take up hard drive space. Plus, they annoy me out of my mind. Please help!!! God bless anyone who can help me.

Are these pictures ones that you created? What program did you use to create or store them in your system originally?
If these pictures are not ones that you created, can you provide more information about them?
Have you tried to "Cut" / "Paste" the pictures into a different folder to see if they are automatically replaced in the "My Pictures" folder. If not, try deleting them from the new location and see if that helps.

I took the pictures with a digital camera and used PhotoMVP software to load them onto the computer. I have tried to cut and paste them into a new folder, and into the recycle bin, but they just keep copying. As soon as I select a certain number of them, a window comes up that says copying, and it flashes really fast, so I don't have time to hit cancel. When I select about 10, it automatically copies them again! Do you have any idea how I can stop this? I have tried everything I can think of. Thanks!

Dwight: Thanks for your suggestions, I just fixed the problem shortly after posting that last reply. I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I copied the folders in my pictures to a new folder, then deleted the my pictures one with all the copies in it, and it worked! Thanks!
