Over in the Word2000 program - when you make your poster - how do you make the letters one color and the 3D tail another color? [I'm not talking about the 'shadow', but the tail that extends from the words and zooms off into nothing.] Confused

Let me see if I can put it into words that aren't too confusing...

After you have typed the text that you want...and applied the 3-d effect...

1. Select the text you want to change
2. On the Drawing toolbar, click 3-D , and then click 3-D Settings.
3. On the 3-D Settings toolbar, click the arrow next to 3-D Color .
4. Do one of the following:
-To change the 3-D color back to its default, click Automatic.
-To change to a color in the color scheme, click one of the colors below Automatic.
-To change to a color that isn't in the color scheme, click More 3-D Colors. Click the color you want on the Standard tab, or click the Custom tab to mix your own color, and then click OK.

This will add a color to the 3-D "tail"

Now to add color to the actual text...
1. Select the text you want to change
2. On the Drawing toolbar, click WordArt button , and then click Format WordArt (has a little fill icon and pen icon).
3. Click on the tab that reads "Colors and Lines" and then select a color using the pop up menu. This will color only the text portion, and not the 3-D effect portion.

I'm so glad to hear that. It's much easier for me to show someone how to do it than to sit down and try to type it out. Glad you were able to follow me Smile
