but when I click on Multimedia player in options, nothing opens.

Have you downloaded and installed the plug-ins? They must be installed for the multi-media player to run: http://www.irfanview.com

Click on the plug-in/add ons to download from Tucows. It is a fast download and will install in seconds.

Done all that plug in seemed to load but media player still does'nt open

Take a look at this picture: Multi-media player It shows what the multimedia player window looks like. It may be located to the right side of the IrfanView window. I wonder if your player is opening, but you're not seeing the window because you're not sure what to look for.

If this isn't the case, please post again. The window might be blocked by a pop up blocker or something like that.
