I'm not certain that I understand your question. Do you want to manipulate photos for a magazine? Do you want to learn how to manipulate photos?

As for making contact with the magizine staff, look up front (within the first 10-20 pages, and before the body of the magizine) and you will find a list of people involved in producing the book. You will also find an address and phone numbers for the editorial offices.

I hope this helps some.

The first hing you will need to know is how to use a program called Adobe Photoshop. This is the industry standard for photo manipulation. The program itself is not cheap ($500-$600), but you can sometimes find it loaded on computers at places like Kinko's or other service bureaus.

After you've learned how to use Photoshop, contact some of the magazines you're interested in and inquire about their internship programs.

Good luck!
