Press Start> All Programs> On the Start menu locate Accessories>System Tools>System Information near last Item on the Menu Window opens.. look along top frame of window for link called "Tools" then select DirectX Diagnostic Tool Another window opens with lots of numbers. Look down to the bottom of the list. The last item is the Loaded version of DirectX on your computer Should start DirectX 9.0...? Anything lower than this need then an update is needed ASAP(from the Microsoft site.) I have the Latest up to date version, See if my numbers tally with yours? DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
