Sadly another of our members isn't well and needs our thoughts and prayers.
Byter is being admitted to hospital today ready for exploratory surgery tomorrow (Tuesday) morning. Doctors have told him that they are pretty sure that a lump found in his throat is cancerous, and he has said that he "is scared spitless to put it mildly". I'm sure we all would be!
He has asked me to pass on his snail mail address to any member who wishes to send a card. Please e-mail me if you want it.

Hi to everyone that talks to Byter. He is in the Veterans Hospital here in Westwood Ca. He has a very large cancer mass in his throat. He has a breathing tube in so he cannot speak. The docters say that the type of cancer that he has responds well to radiation. They are going to put a feeding tube in his stomach 'then start radiation. He needs prayers at this time. thank you so much for the cards and phone call-he really appreciated that. He still has his sense of humor. I will try to update later. Thanks again Carol
Mike and Carol, I'm so sorry that it has definitely been diagnosed as cancer, but take heart that the doctors say it is a type that responds well to treatment. My thoughts are with you. Thank you for taking the time to update us.

Hi Guys: A quick Thanks to all who've sent cards, Posted replys & especially the telephone call from the U.K. You folks have me crying each time I think of ya.
After 2 weeks of Radiation therpy the mass has gone down signifigently. With another round of chemo, they believe we'll have this beat.
So I'm still hanging in there & may try to answer a few computer questions ( I dunno, lets see how I feel.)
