02-11-05, 10:25 AM juanruiz Thank you all, and good to see you again B-man. No change in condition thus far.
02-11-05, 08:20 PM honilov I'll also keep him in my prayers, Juan.
02-11-05, 08:29 PM juanruiz Thank you Honi...you're a sweetie. Smile
02-12-05, 12:43 PM aleia Lighting a candle just for you.
02-12-05, 03:28 PM Sarai Thinking of you. 02-12-05, 03:40 PM juanruiz Thank you so much, Aleia and Sarai. There are those who would criticize us who frequent boards such as this: you don't have a life, you're addicted, friendships made there are not genuine, they can't be. Yet at times like this, and on the occasion of my sister-in-law's death, those who truly poured their hearts out, were sincerely concerned, were the people here. And again, I thank you all. jr
02-13-05, 01:20 AM mocoloco JR do i sense a bit of faith in this here action???
02-13-05, 08:06 AM juanruiz Why mocoloco, as I live and breath! Long time, no see. No, I would turn absolutely scarlet if I thought that was the inference drawn from this post.
03-03-05, 08:41 AM juanruiz Thank you all. He died this morning at 6:30.
03-03-05, 03:16 PM Sarai I'm really sorry to hear that, Juan. Take care.
03-03-05, 03:20 PM MommyTimesTwo Juan, as I said earlier, it is a blessing he is no longer suffering. Here's another cyber hug >Smile < and I hope you can get back to your ornery old self soon. @->-
03-03-05, 04:25 PM Karrow I'm very sorry to hear that juan. My condolences to you and your friend's family.
03-03-05, 04:39 PM Georgia85 My thoughts are with you and his family as you deal with your loss. I hope you can find a way to focus on how wonderful it was to have him in your life and to share great memories with each other.
03-04-05, 08:07 AM juanruiz Thank you all once again for your kind thoughts.
03-04-05, 10:10 AM Bibleman Juan, you and your friend and her family have my thoughts and sympathy in the loss of her husband.
I do wish there was something I could do to help rather than just type words.
I do not know if your friend's beliefs are the same as yours, but personally I found this information comforting, and she may as well: When Someone You Love Dies .
03-04-05, 11:35 AM juanruiz Thank you, B-man. Despite the fact you and I find each other at the antipodes as regards religion, I have always considered you a good friend and a good man. Ironically, his wife, like mine, is Catholic (same parish, even), while he, like I, had no belief. Maybe that's why we got along so well.
03-04-05, 02:44 PM clarebear A Request He was lucky to have a friend as wonderful as you.
{{{{ Juan }}}}
03-04-05, 03:05 PM juanruiz CB, you too are a sweetheart. Smile
03-04-05, 07:26 PM Kelleygirl Clarebear's right -- as usual -- sounds like you were both lucky to have each other's friendship. Sorry, Juan, I know that you'll miss him.
03-04-05, 08:50 PM honilov So sorry to hear the sad news, Juan.
03-08-05, 02:32 PM gizmogram JR...I am so sorry for your friends loss. As Clare said, he was lucky to have you as a friend. Take care. (((((JR))))
03-08-05, 03:00 PM juanruiz Thank you very much ladies. Visitaion tonight; damn I hate those things.
03-08-05, 03:28 PM Georgia85 At least you get to say a final farewell. A co-worker died March 2 and his funeral is tomorrow and I have just been notified that there will be no visitation/viewing. For me I need to see the body instead of thinking that the last time I saw someone I never knew it would be the last time.
Still, I know it will be a hard night for you. But you'll be strong for those around you.
