We were reading that the English system of measurement (feet, yards, ounces, etc.) is used in the USA (obviously)...but we could not understand why the only other place on Earth that the English system is used is in Burma.... what's up with that? confused

Isn't Burma in Utah or Oregon or something?

here in PK too
we use (though the trend is fading now)
the British system.

i.e. yards, ounces etc.

Perhaps,
all the ex-colonies of Britain use the Eng-Style.

Yes, Burma and Pakistan are 2 of the many ex-British colonies. This would be a reason for using the system ... "carryover" from Empire.
