Why not talk to your physician.. there are some perscription meds that are really effective against those problems. Also, it is a good idea to determine if they really ARE allergies.

I have allergies really bad and use Nasocort AQ. It is a nasal spray it really works well. I then also use Zyrtec. The most important thing with allergies is that you have to start taking it prior to when they get worse. Allergy medications need to be taken on a regular basis. For instance my Aunt waits tell her nose is running and she is sneezing and can't stand it no longer and takes Claritin or Zyrtec. She says it doesn't help her. Well I have tried to tell her to take it every day and then it will work but she won't. If you read the package insert or look it up in the PDR it says to take it on a regular basis for best effects. I take mine in the spring and sometimes can stop in July then I start up again before Labor day and continue until we have a good freeze. I have had to take it all winter sometimes. Think of it as a headache if you take something right when it starts you can nip it in the bud. But if you wait until the pain is so unbearable you will probably have to take more than one dose to get rid of it. This is true with any kind of pain. Good luck I suggest you talk with your doctor.
