I do know that honey is a great homopathic rememdy for allergies such as pollen. Specifically, raw honey.
I learned from my fiance, that honey is good for more than just eating/drinking. Swallowing a teaspoon of honey will help w/ sorethroat.
They say that using honey everday in your diet will aleveiate the need for your antihistimines.
But I think it depends on the person and their system.
Paul, my fiance, has severe allergies, especially with pollen and we use tons of honey! But he still has to take his antihistimines.
However, honey is a much better alternative to sugar. Much Better! Honey is natural and unprocessed and has anti-microbial and anti-biotic factors.
Sugar has zero nutrients and is processed and is just really bad for your body. If you want too, you can Read

Honey is good in teas, oatmeal, on bread in place of butter...heck...I know a guy that even puts it in his coffee!
I will NOT buy honey from the store!! It is blended, stabilized, reinforced and diluted with preservatives!!!!! I only buy raw natural honey. Luckily, there is a lady that lives about 45 minuets from us who has a bee farm and jars the honey and sells it. Reasonably priced and oh so delicious! Places like that or farmers markets are the best to get honey from.
