I have a love bird, only one ( had four but that's another discussion) and she was doing fine. She is MY bird. Will climb out of the cage and find me. We got a lab puppy in DEC. One day he got a hold of her. Didn't hurt her from what the vet said but now the poor thing is loosing feathers and I can see her SPINE! At first I thought it was fungus and was going to take her to the vet but he had to cancel.y Plan: New cage, new toys, vitamins, new location.( Vet too by the way) but if a huge monster put my head in his mouth and then chased me around the house I'd be stressed too. She is in the dining room and he has free roam. Supervised definaely. Can birds loose that amt of feathers from stress? How long til recovery? What else should I do? Thank you for any advice. My husband is not fond of her and thinks her issue may affect the family.( we have small kids) She was the ony one with me on deployment and during a hurricane evac so I am attached. PLEASE HELP.
