Firstly, are you sure of the sex of these two birds? It is very difficult to tell the sex of some species of lovebird, e.g. the peach faced variety. Check this website for more information.

There are nine species of lovebird, and it is said that you need them to be the same species for them to bond together well. Nature being what it is though, there will always be exceptions to this rule. And many people have mated different varieties with no problem. If they have never even seen each other before, you are taking a very big risk of them fighting just throwing them together and hoping that they will breed. Even lovebirds that are very affectionate with you and/or their mate can be very aggressive to other birds.

You don't say what age the birds are. Lovebirds reach sexual maturity at about 8 months of age, but should not be used for breeding until they are at least 12 to 15 months old.

Here are some websites which I hope will be of help to you.
