My parakeet died today. She was twelve and seemed to be in pretty good health. The only outward sign I noticed was she has shed all her feathers around her rearend. Does anyone recognize this as indicative of anything?

Well, if you are worried about maybe infecting other birds you have (or want to get) you COULD take the bird to be looked at by the vet, perhaps they can give you an idea of what happened.
