We have ten animals and two of them are birds. One is a parakeet named Sky and the other is our Finsch's Conure. His name is Sweet Pea. We got him about 4 years ago and I have to say it has been quite the experience.
I knew absolutely nothing when it came to birds but thank gawd for the internet. And my vet and friends. I quickly did a lot of research when we first got him and now, I feel almost like an expert because I have learned so much. But there is always more to learn.
I was just wondering if anyone else has a Finsch's Conure? I read about other conures but no one ever seems to have this particular kind.

Wonderful photos! Sweet Pea reminds me of my lovebird Peaches. Peaches was a total brat but delightful and incredibly smart. Noisy!!!!!

I had a small finch, called Sweet Pea some years ago. She escaped from her cage, and totally disappeared. I found a bunch of feathers behind the piano some months later, and I suspect the cats of prying the cage bars apart. Birds and gerbils have never fared well in our house.

How many animals do you have? I would love love love to see pics of everyone's animals.

Here is one of my favorite pictures of Sweet Pea. At night before he goes to bed and gets tired, he gets soooo cuddley and loving. I hold him and snuggle with him. I will sweet talk him and he makes all of these sweet sweet loving sounds. It's one of my favorite times with this amazing bird.
