Hi Grenny:
Basic blues chords are quite simple.Blues usually uses just3 chords, the 1 7chord,the 5 7 chord and the 4 7chord.In the key of C,the one chord is C7th,the five chord is G7th,and the four chord is F7th.
Most blues is a 12 bar[measure] song, although there are some 8 bar blues.
Here are the chords for a typical 12 bar blues in C.
C7///F7th/// C7th/// C7th/// F7th///F7th/// C7th/// C7th/// G7th///F7th///C7th///C7th///
These are the chords to one 12 bar chorus of the Blues in C.
If you want to play more than one chorus, just play a G7th in the 12 th bar ,[instead of C7th]this will take you back to the beginning .
If you learn the 1 chord, the 5 chord and the 4 chord in every key ,you could play the blues in any key that you choose.
There are more complicated ways to play the blues ,but this will get you started.
I would suggest that you take lessons if possible.Or go to a music store and buy a guitar book showing all of the basic guitar chords or try to find a good Blues guitar book.
Hope this helps you get started. If you have any questions ,feel free to ask them.
