I was wondering how I am related to a certain person. She is my third cousin’s grandma. But my grandma was orphaned during world war two so she was raised by my third cousin’s great grandma and she and my third cousin’s grandma were raised as step sisters. How am I related to her? (by the way I just call her Aunt Beatty)

The children of first cousins are second cousins, and their children are third cousins. If your grandma and your third cousin's grandma are in the same blood line, they are first cousins.

You are two generations removed from the 'straight across' relationship, so you are first cousins twice removed. (It's expressed the same from both ends of the relationship).

If they are not in the same blood line, but anyone in the chain is only there because they married someone who is in the blood line, then you are not related. But never mind, you can stil call her 'Auntie'!

Ewood is right about the blood relation.

And if the two grandmas are not blood relation to each other, but still raised as "sisters," then your cousin's grandma would be your (step-)great-aunt.

(Just for the record, "great-aunt" and "grandaunt" are the same.)

"Aunt Beatty" would be your first cousin twice-removed.
IF she and your grandma are first cousins.
(She and your parent would be first cousins once-removed.)
Here are a couple of sites that I hope help:
