What's the easiest, FREE way to look at public records, tax rolls, phone book, reverse directory, etc.?

"Free" is the hard part. Would recommend this site:

It is the most extensive link list for genealogy I've come across. It has a reasonable search engine for the site and.... for "current" directories etc it has a pretty good list under the heading "Finding People".

Some of the sites will be free.... some not. It's just a matter of searching searching searching.

Thank you, Nellie. Unfortunately, that site leads to another site I visited the other day, and they charge. Guess you're right, search and search some more.
