If your first cousin (a cousin who shares the same grandparents as you) got married and had kids, all those kids would be your first cousins once removed. Your kids and your cousin's kids would be second cousins. As Amaris said, cousins are everywhere! As an aside, when I work in a teenage group home, we allow certain kids who have not earned their 'level' to call family members only and not friends. So they all ask to call their 'cousins', when in all probability they're really calling their friends. Sometimes I let it slide, we're all family in one way or another, I suppose.
