Apparently us race fans must be fairly inteligent folks, not many ?s or discussion,s.Is there is a discussion page got to look!anyway curious as to asside from weight and horse power, whatare the differences in cup cars VS busch cars? would assume that busch guys capable of getting same amount of HP is this a nascar ruling? also with weight, how is one built to be either lighter or heavier?whats added or left out. If ther is a discussion page on nascar throw that in. Darn wish to heck I could ask a Question without writing twenty page letter. Hey thanks much and good racin. Busch sunday only! Give Gordon a extra day to move his furniture! ++++++++++++++ 07-01-02, 12:29 PM teeceeum and I'm not sure how much I would trust that, Busch cars also have a shorter wheelbase. No, it's not really possible to get the same horsepower because Busch cars have a limit on compression ratio. However, they are almost equal to a Cup car at the restrictor plate tracks.
All of the cars are built well under the minimum weight limit and then balast in the form of lead weights are added until the car (with driver) reaches the proper weight and weight split. 49% of the weight must be on the right side of the car.
