Does anyone else think that that was the best Hungarian Grand Prix ever?
Probably the best of the season so far as well. +++++++++++++++ 10-22-06, 07:41 AM Xanadu Well it was the 13th race of the season, so if you're superstitious you should have been expecting plenty to happen!
I agree it was a very eventful and exciting race.
It was a great one for the Brits and Jensen Button as he won his first ever F1 race. I think his decision not to take a pit-stop while the safety car was out was a good one.
It was also a good race for second placed Pedro de la Rosa who gained his first ever podium position.
I agree it was a very exciting and eventful race. That usually happens when the track is wet as it was at Budapest, but there was more than we expected. It also helped that with some of the "big boys" on time penalties it meant that we didn't have the usual drivers hogging the lead.
For those who didn't see it this website, appropriately titled "A real humdinger", has a write-up on the race.
