SCCA ++++++++++++++++++ 05-17-06, 08:30 AM Walks On Water Spring is in the air and so is the smell of fast cars, burning rubber, and engine oil, so I thought this would a good time to move this to the top.
The wife and I have raced and been volunteer officials for over 25 years and had a blast. There is not a cheaper excitement in the world to get the adrenaline flowing than working next to high speed cars and the thrill of wheel to wheel competition.
This racing is not wham-bang thank you ma'am drag racing or "What is a right turn" oval track racing, but road course racing with right and left turns, and as many as 80 gear shifts per lap. Talk about a work-out.
And if you want to do something with the family car, try "Rally" or "Solo". Both are easy on the car, but oh so much fun.
