I got a call for donations on Sunday at 4 in the afternoon! I totally went off on the guy, too. I was like, "It's Saturday, this is my weekend, are you totally gone?"
I think it's actually kind of fun to mess with them.

A couple notes...
1) banks, charities, and some other groups that I can't think of at the moment, are not prevented from callign you by this law.
2) a number of states have more restrictive laws and lists of their own. Check to see if your state does and put yourself on the state list as well.
3) there are people claiming they can put you on the list early if you pay them. They can't; don't give them your money.

I usually just say no to any phone solicitation.If the caller persists I say"What part of no don't you understand" and I hang up!
