I know that in England (and other countries) they drive on the left side of the road and the steering wheel is on the right side of the car, but what of the pedals? Do you still gas and break with the right foot, or are the pedals switched, too?

Thank you, Adi! I don't know why I thought of it, but I was driving to work this morning and I suddenly found myself wondering about that. Ahhh, my life is more complete now.

And there was once a time when the layout of the pedals was not even standard from make to make anywhere at all, which must have added to the fun. Now, if only everybody, even within one country, could agree exactly which stalk operated wipers, indicators and all the rest and how and then standardise the controls for lights we'd all be happier. Just think of the time and trouble we'd save by not signalling with the wipers and clearing our view with the direction indicators of the hire car!
