Which payment service is more easy to use PayPal or Western Union? and which asks the Higher charges?
I had a glance at Western Unions site and Its easy to use and you can pay in almost anywhere..Lots of Agencies www.westernunion.com Why do people not use it more widely on the web? Is it the transaction limit of $999.99 that is the issue or what?
Question To Admin would you accept Donation payments from both sources instead of Paypal as at present? Of the 2 I like the Look of the W/U site page as a "Come on" navigation is easy Paypals Homepage is scruffy and has complex links example:
quote:
Get paid by phone, fax, and mail with Virtual Terminal.
Bedstor, I bought some postcards on Ebay recently and the seller insisted on being paid by Western Union money transfer. I had heard bad reports about this company, that the transactions were not safe so I contacted Ebay and they said 'Never pay for anything using Western Union'. They recommend paypal everytime. I have used paypal for years, for Ebay and lots of other things and never had a problem with it. The payments are quick and if the goods don't arrive, they will credit you.

PayPal, Western Union, Carrier Pigeon, Bonded Courier. UPS, Parcel Post, FedX, Bike Messenger, Air Mail, via a Tramp Steamer out of Fiji, or give it to Kevin Bacon to see how many degrees of separation there are between us. Whatever works. I like PayPay PayPal; I like the fact that to send or receive money, I don't have to get up from my computer. PayPal is very cheap to use. It's fees are below.
Amount Sent..............................Price Per Transaction $0.00 USD-$3,000.00 USD..........2.9% + $0.30 USD
So if someone sends me $1000 US (Insert Little Laughing Guy Here), I get $970.70 put in my bank account. I usually get to look at it for a few days before groupee gets its grubby little hands on it.

I'm sure PayPay is nice, but I like PayPal for the same reason DG does. I don'thave to get up from my computer. I just learned, from DG's post, that I'm sending periodic donations of 3% less that I knew heretofore. I'm also, party to a class action lawsuit against Western Union. They apparently cheated on the exchange rate between U.S and Canadian dollars. I don't know whether that has been settled. In any case I didn't get rich from it, to date.
Yes there is, and I'm sure it gets money from typos like mine. I meant PayPal. Thanks for catching that, Frank and Mike.
I am going to edit my post so that the right money transfer service is indicated. I don't want to chance someone possibly getting scammed in some way. (I have no idea if PayPay is a legitimate site or not.)
Frank, your contributions are greatly appreciated, and I feel that the fee PayPal (Got it right this time ) charges is a small price for me to pay in order to have the "door-to-door" service that the site offers. *************************** A Caution to PayPal users -
PayPal, like many online financial businesses, is often the unwitting and unwilling tool that some use to get user names and password information from people, an action called phishing. After every PayPal transaction, I get an e-mail asking me to verify my private PayPal information. This e-mail is NOT from PayPal, and clicking on the link that is in the e-mail may open your computer up to whoever sent the message. Don't get hooked; do what I do. I delete these messages as soon as I get them. The only way, the only contact I use for PayPal*, is by carefully typing in PayPal.com in my address window. That way, I know I am dealing with PayPal and not some scam site.
*I did call them once, right after the first of the bogus e-mails. I was told not to open those messages and to delete them.

Mike, PayPal is 100% legitimate and safe. I know nothing about PayPay and see no need to know anything about them. Even if it is a legitimate money transfer business, I feel that they are benefiting from PayPal's hard work in establishing a reputation as a safe and reliable service by using a name that is a common typo.

I knew about it a few weeks ago when doing a test for Typos
May not surprise you that Google has the Most cybersquat typo clones also Yahoo ,Altavista even our old home Ask.com
My advice don't try to look at them, unless there is a need? 90% are worthless, rest are poor emulators...Trust me you aren't missing anything Your A/V & antispyware security must be 100% and up to date to glance at these,(and your Popup stopper is functioning correctly ) There are sometimes little hidden "presents" you can bring home and spread to everyone if you are not aware of the danger risks

since I use Pay Pal all the time for my purchases and sales through Half.com and ebay.com I didn't need to check at all. I access it each time I make or get a payment from Paypal.
