badminton origin

modern badminton began as "poona" in india. the british army officers stationed in india adopted the sport in n the 1860s. badminton only became a success when the game/sport was played at a party given by the duke of beaufort at his estate called "badminton" in cloucestershire wink

It was once called "battledore and shuttlecock". And the shuttlecock can reach speeds of 162 miles per hour, as per the Guinness book of world records. wink
