what does the term barmpot mean? it is a british term i heard from the show last of the summer wine? and it is not in a british/english dictionary

A 'bampot' is a stupid or crazy person.

'Barmy' is (was - it's old-fashioned) British English for crazy. 'Pot', I guess, is slang for 'head'.

Karrow taught me that word. We have called each other that. I do remember someone getting offended once by it but I can't remember who.

Its a cute word for someone silly. Or so she says. Roll Eyes Wink
