There is a street here that was renamed this. It doesn't show up as a change on Yahoo and Google maps, it still shows Gilbert St on the tax records too. I'm guessing it's a local hero, but I can't find any information.

One possibility would be that there was an Italian (American) singer named Cesar BattaGlia. Are you sure you spelled it right?

Or César Batalla. Seems likely since it looks like he does work in Connecticut.

He's also got named after him a Connecticut-based scholarship and some kind of center in Connecticut.
