Danny said that the new Nickel (With I assume Jefferson?) on it reflects that the president did something "wrong" since he is facing to the right.

Is there a correlation to Left Facing and Right Facing profiles of presidents on coin and currency?

This sounds like some urban legend derived by analogy with heraldry, where left denotes illegitimacy.

Can't wait to find out what Danny says when he sees the new 2006 Jefferson nickel....Jefferson will be facing forward and if I'm not mistaken, this will be the first time in history that a president has ever been depicted facing forward.

But to answer your question about the profile, all I have found was "since Abraham Lincoln became the first president to be depicted on a circulating coin, in 1909, presidents have always been shown in profile, in part because profile designs remain recognizable even after extensive wear on the coin." coincollector.org
