What does the "H-4" in H-4 Hercules stand for ?

This doesn't seem to address the change of number from HK-1 to H-4, but H is Hughes:

The HK-1, stood for Hughes, Kaiser. It was changed to H-4 when Henry Kaiser withdrew from the project.
