Great site !
Just one question: Who on Earth were " Chad and Jeremy" ? Their names appear at top right on the British Invasion page, so were they supposed to be British? Confused

Good to hear Eric Burden, lead singer of The Animals again ('House of the Rising Sun') Cool

I think Chad and Jeremy did better in the States than over here Fred. I only remember one record by them - "Yesterday's Gone" - but then, my memory isn't what it was.

Very interesting site Scotty. Of course, I'm too young to remember any of it (I wish!). Roll Eyes

Thanks, Scotty; it was good to hear those.

Fred, it was Chad Stewart and Jeremy Clyde, as I remember. But then, unlike Karrow, I don't have so many years crowding my memory. (It must be hard to organize so many memories. How do you do it, Kath- by centuries, or by subject matter?)

Chad Stuart was born very close to my old native town of Carlisle up there in Cumbria, UK. He'll be 65 on Sunday so I hope we're all ivited Smile. Chad and Jeremy moved to the US very early on, and were far bigger there than in their native country where few remember them except Karrow. This link is excellent:

Thanks, Colin. No wonder I'd never heard of them. Thought at first it was because 'if you remember the sixties then you weren't there' but, on the other hand, I can remember dancing the twist... Roll Eyes

I liked Chad and Jeremy, but I also thought Peter and Gordon were better.

Unfortunately, Dorian, I go back alot further than the fifties with these.

One Night in the Tropics (1940)
Buck Privates (1941)
In The Navy (1941)
Hold That Ghost (1941)
Keep 'Em Flying (1941)
Ride 'Em Cowboy (1942)
Rio Rita (1942)
Pardon My Sarong (1942)
Who Done It? (1942)
It Aint Hay (1943)
Hit The Ice (1943)
In Society (1944)
Lost In A Harem (1944)
Here Come The Co-eds (1945)
The Naughty Nineties (1945)
Abbott & Costello In Hollywood (1945)
Little Giant (1946)
The Time Of Their Lives (1946)
Buck Privates Come Home (1947)
The Wistful Widow Of Wagon Gap (1947)
The Noose Hangs High (1948)
Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein (1948)
Mexican Hayride (1948)
Abbott & Costello Meet The Killer: Boris Karloff (1949)
Africa Screams (1949)

The were good but could not compare to the Great Laurel & Hardy.
