Can anyone direct me to a site with good information about Chang and Ng Bunker, the famous Siamese Twins?

Were they originally from Thailand, giving birth to the expression "Siamese Twins?"

Chang and Eng Bunker (1811-1874) were born in Thailand of Chinese descent.

Here's a start:

Univ. of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Collection (did you see it and get your interest sparked?)

Thank both of you, and others who may respond, for the links. The Bunkers lived in my home state, but all I recall about them was from reading an article in the Farmers Almanac several years ago. I have enjoyed learning more about them this morning and am finding them quite fascinating.

Dogspit, I got a nice chuckle over there being a site called Visit Mayberry!

You're welcome. Just to be precise: The Bunkers were, of course, born in Siam, as Thailand was known until 1939 (and again from 1945-1949).

That second link I provided is working again if you had no luck with it before.
