I really know nothing about Russian mythology, but I'd like to hear a really basic overview if anyone can provide one.

I am interested in one specific, though. Is there a figure named Laska, and, if so, who is he/she?

Thanks. I'm not actually sure that Laska is a character in slavic mythology, but I was told once that she was.

P.S. Yes, Laska is the name of a hunting dog in Anna Karenina (I read it about a year ago).
