So, when writing my letter to Pope John Paul II, where do I mail it? I couldn't find what I'm looking for on the Vatican site.

Also, if I wanted to contact the writers/producers of the TV show "ER," where would I send that letter?

For the Pope, you would address your letter (as if to Santa) merely to
His Holiness, Pope John Paul II.

The Vatican City while legally a separate state is integrated into the Italian postal system.

In Italy the postal service will want a five digit postcode before the town or city. European post offices love postcodes and mail is almost always delayed by any omission or error in them here.

The address that I finally found for the Pope was "Apostolic Palace, 00120 Vatican City State, Europe." I read that if you put "Italy" on there it will go through the Italian system and be intolerably delayed...
