Me is the worst and crashes all the time. XP is also much more user friendly. And doesn't have the memory limitations that ME does.

Windows 95 was pretty stable, when used properly. I have a machine running Windows 95 which boots and shuts down much faster than a Windows XP machine with triple the specs.

...and if you remove Internet Explorer (use Opera or Mozilla in IE's place), then you are left with a fast, stable, and secure operating system.

Just my two cents.

XP Professional, no question. XP Home is good if you are not doing any networking. I have both on a home LAN.
