AOL 8 Do you like it?
Well I find it unusable With all the new odds and ends, it's like a updated AOL 7 with lot of features I have no use for or get to work. In some areas it is acting like a "Beta"(IM chat icon selection(Blocked off) and rubbish looking avatars
I see they have removed the "Homepage" button so I have had to make a "Favourite" icon on the toolbar to allow for this omission
Only thing they did good was the "Report Spam" button,,The new email system is poor otherwise.sorting email into catagories is impossible ,Should have copied the Yahoo system for transferring email into bulk mail....Am still getting Spam in the "People I Know" file besides AP and answerbook friends and No way of switching this out to a "Bulk mail "folder AOL have not thought this through

Very Disappointed ..Stay on AOL 7 till these "few" bugs are rectified

Beware Bedstor they are advertising AOL 9.0 !

Good spot JT. as soon as they release a version of Aol They Have a BETA version of the next years AOL on their board codenamed "Thailand" type Keyword "BETA" to see it (AOL users only)

Reminds me... Microsoft aren't too far behind I brought a copy of Microsoft Train Simulator(MTS) and Where do you want me to start re: bugs? If the AOL 8 runs like a BETA then the MTS runs like an ALPHA in parts really buggy . And like AOL they are bringing out an all-"New"(improved? )version about now.I'll wait till Xmas before deciding to Purchase this (and spend several days tracking down patches to "try" make it work )
I rate it 5/10 with all the bugs
Get some daft things happening (Not a 1 off) like shunting wagons on a main line and they speed off into the distance have to follow them for several miles No "Friction " to slow them to a stop ( Did They forget to add this variable to the program? )

AOL has been an outdated clunker for years. It's only through marketing that they are so big. Everything that you can get with AOL you can get with a standard internet provider. Their only selling point is really the outdated interface, who really needs it?
