Was using BlackIce up until about a year ago.. Switched to Norton Firewall after BlackIce flunked the GRC test.
Norton has never let me down yet..

chris (vansrme) ************************************************************ 01-25-03, 07:16 PM vansrme I have installed the Sygate personal firewall on my backup pc, which runs win95, and have had no problems with it, tho I use it very little as I've had no problems with my main pc either. lol
chris ************************************************************ 01-30-03, 10:44 PM qualserve My Netgear FVS318 has a built in firewall (firmware)that is better than any software I have tried. ************************************************************ 01-30-03, 11:12 PM ivnj But does it stop pop-ups too! Or just limits incomming connections!
My LinkSYS BEFSR11 said can be used as a firewall, however I see no firewall tab in the setup!
I was usuing WinMX and I couldn't get through untill I disconnected from the ROUTER!
But when I was talknig (Chat) to AT&T Cable help support he was able to control my PC and open a new window on my screen with the page I was looking for!
So it must be automnatic making it no good!
Do U have a section in your setup for the firewall? Or is it automatic? And does anybody? And is this a good buy? Or not a reliable name brand!

I'm using Norton Firewall, is it different than Norton Internet Security? If so, where could I download this Norton Internet Security for free?
