I use MSN. In fact i'm using it right now. lol
It's really nice, it has everything I want in a chat service. On the plus side it has pretty much no freaks offering "bad stuff"...like ...lets say ICQ or AOL.

I used to use ICQ all the time, but it seemt like it took over our computer. When mom got the new one she wouldn't let me re-download it.

My mom uses AOL for her work friends and talking with grandpa. I used to have a name on it, but the only person I actually knew on there was my cousin, so I eventually stopped using it.

I am on AOL 7 , and am very happy with it..
I have tried MSN,Yahoo, the old Blue Light, and recently tried one of the other biggies that I cannot even remember its name...
AOL,has by far, the best mail system bar none....Its storage filing system is super user friendly...Outlook Express and Hotmail are a joke....AOL is so user friendly that its a pleasure to pay for it...I SAY, I SAY, SUH, THAT WAS A JOKE...

I use MSN, and have no problems with it. It seems to be a good IM program. I have heard a lot of good things about AOL, but we live in an isolated area, and to connect to it requires a long distance phone hookup if I want to use it. Being a cheapskate, I'd prefer to use my local ISP for next to nothing.

I have msn, yahoo, and icq. I use each sparingly. I have several contacts on each of them though, from all over. I prefer yahoo for the use of webcams, icq for the style of the window, and msn for the email notifications. I guess you could say I like them all to a certain extent! I do NOT use AOL though, I didnt know anyone who had it, so it was a waste of HD space to me.

I use MSN and ICQ...MSN because most of my friends/family use it. A few are on ICQ and I really prefer that program as you are able to read as the other party is typing so it is much faster.

That's the part I hate! U need to collect and compose your self! Not have people reading while U're...! Cuz what if U goof up and need to retype it! Or change your mind and decide U were too harsh! The other way is the best! Send when U're ready! Let them wait a few seconds!

Sorry Ivnj-
I don't agree. For me it's no different than having a face to face conversation.

That's the point! I hate face to face sometimes! That's why E-Mails or the answering machine is better! That's why U hope U get the machine sometimes cuz U just don't know what to say! U need time to think instead of just jumping right in! U don't want the other person saying what do U mean or hold-on before U even finished typing! U need to compose everything first and then when U're sure it's right send it and let them digest it! That's why E-Mail is always suggested not being sent right away cuz later U might realize U never ment to...!

But that's just my opinion!

I don't allow any of the IM programs on any of my systems. Far as I am concerned, they are nothing but testing grounds for all the new virii and trojans that come out..

Now, don't go and say your av program catches all of them.. It can't catch anything new that it hasn't seen before !!

Don't scare me Murray!

Do any other IM prgrams include a
history feature like ICQ has?

I prefer ICQ for that reason.

I have ICQ, MSN & Yahoo. Prefer to use ICQ though, 'coz ICQ can save the history Wink
Have tried Trillian sometime ago, but didn't really like it, dunno, 'coz it always made my comp crashed I think Confused And besides... even tho I was in invisible mode, those in my contact list could see me online when I used Trillian Confused
